If you have an existing website or homepage and wish to replicate the contents on your 123India Home Page, here are some easy steps to FTP download the files from your online page to your computer. Once this is done, all you need to do is zip your files and upload them on your 123India Home Page through the File Manager.
Step 1: Run the CuteFTP program. In case you do not have CuteFTP, you can download it from http://www.cuteftp.com. Upon running the program, the user will be faced with the FTP Site Manager. This is just a small list of FTP Sites that you may wish to have a look at (see Figure 1). ![]() Step 2: Click the "New" button for new site and add ftp host address like www.xyz.com or the IP where your webpages reside. Insert the user name and password to your server ftp port is usually 21.Click connect or to connect to a site, just double click on the "Site name" on the right hand side. Upon clicking on a site name the main screen will appear, as shown below (Figure 2) ![]() Step 3: The STATUS lines near the top of the screen will display any messages that may be reported during the connection. If there is a problem, these lines will usually give information that will be useful in working out what to do next. Assuming that all goes well, a listing of the "remote" system will appear, as shown. Once connected you can see the entire list of folders on you site. ![]() Step 4: Now you need to select all (select first file and press shift ctrl end )now all ur files and folders are selected. Now rightclick your mouse and download on you computer. In the File menu, select Quick Connect window and fill in your username, password, host address and port as 21, hit enter. Once connected, the procedure is exactly the same as above. Also note that files can be dragged and dropped from the online hard disk (on the right) to the local hard disk (on the left) allowing files to be "downloaded". ![]() |
